CHICAGO -- San Diego Padres closer Fernando Rodney's well-known imaginary bow-and-arrow routine he performs after a victory almost got imaginary blocked by a former teammate.
Chicago Cubs second baseman Ben Zobrist grounded out to Rodney to end Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader. As Zobrist headed back to the Cubs dugout, he was close enough to Rodney as the pitcher pretended to shoot an arrow into the sky. Zobrist went for the block.
"He happened to be close enough to me I thought if I could get a hand on it I could knock it down," Zobrist said after the 1-0 loss.
