We finish up our look at the top prospects in the Cubs system today with the top five prospects in the system. While I’ve written that the Cubs system is down from its heights last year, it’s still a top 10 farm system in my mind and that’s mostly because of these five players. While I admit that I can’t really do a Top 100 Prospects list because that would require following 29 other farm systems a lot more closely than I do, I believe that all five of these prospects are Top 100 prospects. In any case, Baseball America, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN and MLB Pipeline all believe that all five of these players are Top 100 prospects.
