The 2025 BCB Top 25 Cubs Prospects list starts today and continues through the rest of the week. Today we will be looking at prospects 21 through 25. But before we get to that, let’s take a quick overview of the Cubs system.
The Cubs minor league talent level is down from 2024, for some good reasons, a few bad ones and one beyond their control. The good news is that the system is down because last year’s prospects like Pete Crow-Armstrong, Michael Busch, Jordan Wicks, Ben Brown and Porter Hodge all graduated to the majors. The one guy who should have lifted the system back up, last year’s first-round pick Cam Smith, was traded to Houston for Kyle Tucker.
