On their never-ending quest to get the paper on the caper, the Cubs inked a presenting sponsorship deal with State Farm for their award tour through Chicago and parts of the Midwest.
While the Cubs would never let a statue tell them how nice they are, they will be taking the World Series trophy on the road beginning Friday, where it will make an appearance at a pop-up team store at 663 N. Michigan Ave. Fans, or anybody really, can take a picture with the trophy from 12-3 p.m. Also they can buy a bunch of Cubs stuff (“new items arriving daily,” according to the press release) there.
