The Cubs swept the three-game series against the Pirates and outscored their division rivals 20-8. The Cubs smacked nine home runs, eight in the last two games. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant launched four of the nine home runs. The sluggers both hit homers Saturday and Sunday and went back-to-back in the third inning Sunday night against Jameson Taillon.
Rizzo and Bryant have homered in the same game five times this season, four times this month. Rizzo and Bryant have gone deep in the same game nine times in the regular season, and once more in the post-season.
