Another Win in the Books

The Cubs are officially 1/6th of the way through their shortened season and with a win over the Royals, moved to 8-2 on the season.

Starter Alec Mills was masterful in his second start of the season. Mills went seven innings and gave up just three hits. The bullpen once again was solid with Casey Sadler and Rowan Wick finishing up the 2-0 shutout.

The offensive highlight was Kris Bryant’s first homer of the season. Defensively, David Bote, playing third, had three slow rollers in which he fielded the ball barehanded and fired strikes over to Anthony Rizzo.
