CHICAGO -- The Cubs' Albert Almora Jr. and Javier Baez both got a hit and extended their hitting streaks to career highs in the first inning on Friday against the Brewers at Wrigley Field.
Milwaukee had taken a 1-0 lead in the first on a sacrifice fly by Jesus Aguilar. Almora then doubled off Brewers starter Brent Suter to lead off the Cubs' first, extending his hitting streak to a personal-high 10 games. Almora then scored on Baez's single, which extended the second baseman's hitting streak to 10 games, also a career high.
