As many of you may know, Chicago Cubs infield prospect Addison Russell has started shifting from shortstop to second base so the front office can evaluate how he plays there. Since he is considered one of the best (if not the best) defensive shortstops currently in the Cubs system, moving across the bag won’t be a problem for him, and it appears he’s doing just fine there.
Naturally this led to a lot of speculation, especially after Anno told me about Jed Hoyer’s radio segment where he started talking about an inevitable call-up.
