CLEVELAND -- From Ninja Turtle to World Series hero.
Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell tied a Fall Classic record with six RBIs, including the first-ever grand slam by a shortstop, in a 9-3 win in Game 6 over the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night. And he did it one day after dressing up for a certain holiday.
“Halloween's my favorite,” Russell said. “It's my nerd holiday. I go all out.”
He and his teammates went all out at the plate on Tuesday, finally breaking through with a big night on offense and forcing a Game 7 on Wednesday night.
