At some point in tonight’s Cubs loss, I shut off the radio for the night and decided to call my grandmother in Hong Kong. Since HK is on the other side of the International Date Line, they were already at Sunday and celebrating Mothers Day, so I got to chat with her for a bit before she decided to do her exercises and prepare for dim sum. Grandma is cool.
I’m not about dwelling on single losses because they’re just one in 162, and plus I have better things to do than blast the manager or pitching coach for things that might turn out to be blips, or that may be changed fairly easily by the front office should they choose to do so.
