2024 Cubs Heroes and Goats: Games 96 and 97

On a wild Saturday, the Cubs played two games against the Cardinals and came up empty twice. If either of these games happened in a vacuum, I wouldn’t lose a lot of thought about them. With a quick turn around to the series finale, I’m not going to write a thousand words about them either. It was a frustrating day to be a Cubs fan. If they can win today, it doesn’t throw out all of what has happened this week. But this was definitely a lost opportunity.

In Game one, the Cubs got a solo homer from Seiya Suzuki in the first.
