The Cubs were so happy to see their old pal Anthony Rizzo that they rolled over and played dead to give his team a win. Not really, but it might as well have been true. It was a generally well played game and neither team was able to generate a whole lot of offense. Unfortunately, the Yankees grouped production in the third inning, putting a walk, two singles and a double together and producing three runs.
No shame in this one for starter Jordan Wicks. Five hits and four walks over five innings isn’t terrific, but that’s one scary lineup.
