Just a few notes on tonight’s game, and I’m reasonably certain everyone here is rooting for the Nats to win.
Washington got swept by the Brewers in a three-game series in May at Miller Park. At that point they were 14-22.
They went 79-47 after that, third-best record in the N.L. (Dodgers and Braves were better.) The Brewers were 66-57 in that span. (Cubs, 63-65, in case you’re interested.)
The Nats took two of three from Milwaukee in August in Washington. The only loss was a ridiculous 14-inning game that the Nats lost 15-14 after blowing a three-run lead in the ninth inning and having to come back to tie the game there AND in the 13th AND having the tying and winning runs on base in the bottom of the 14th before they lost.
