Zach LaVine is not with the team in San Antonio, flying back to Chicago to have his ankle examined and ensuring he’ll miss at least the next two games:
Coach Jim Boylen said LaVine is limping and in a walking boot after spraining his deltoid ligament. There’s no official timeline yet, but there’s some belief in the Bulls organization that LaVine could miss time beyond Monday.
I think this is just a ‘typical’ ankle sprain, not a high-ankle sprain which is a different ligament.
In his story, KC Johnson has this strange bit on the possible times LaVine suffered the injury in Thursday night’s loss to the Magic.
