LaMarcus Aldridge signing with the San Antonio Spurs got me thinking about the Chicago Bulls‘ part in his history as a player. Aldridge was officially drafted by the Bulls No. 2 overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, but he was immediately traded for Tyrus Thomas and Russian prospect Viktor Khryapa to the Portland Trail Blazers. This was a prearranged trade, and you can definitely say they left that draft as the big winner. They were also able to land Brandon Roy, who was quite brilliant in the first few years of his career before knee problems ended it.
What If Chicago Bulls Hadn’t Traded LaMarcus Aldridge?
