Tony Allen Provides a Bulls Draft Inspiration: Malcolm Brogdon

Malcolm Brogdon was named the ACC Player of the Year as well as the conference’s defensive player of the year. Virginia nearly advanced to the Final Four during the NCAA Tournament against Syracuse except for some freak three-point offense that boosted the Orange past the Cavaliers.

He reminds us a little of one pesky, hard-nosed Chicago defender: Grizzlies guard Tony Allen. The same Tony Allen who helped shut down Kobe Bryant when he was playing for the Celtics in 2008 and won a ring. Allen recently shut down Jimmy Butler in an important game for the Bulls against the Grizzlies.
