By now, the Bulls know better than to question a break when they get it. It appeared as though the streak of 16 straight home TNT wins would come to an end as Jimmy Butler’s jump shot rimmed out with less than a second remaining and the Bulls trailing the Boston Celtics by one point.
The buzzer sounded, and players began to walk off the court before realizing that a foul had been called on Celtics guard Marcus Smart. Butler made two free throws, Al Horford missed a jumper at the buzzer and the Bulls eked out a 104-103 win to extend that TNT streak to 17 and enter the All-Star break 28-29, in sole possession of seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
