In the moments before Tuesday night’s draft lottery I felt the presence of something I had not felt in years. I felt hope about the Chicago Bulls. Maybe it was the warm weather, maybe the recent Cubs success or promising Sox season. Maybe it was my poor understanding of probability. Either way, I felt a creeping sensation in my gut that the Bulls were certain to land a top pick.
Maybe not Zion Williamson, but certainly Ja Morant or RJ Barrett would be suiting up at the United Center to jump-start the Bulls back into contention.
