The Chicago Bulls had scored at least 100 points in all but one of their victories this season prior to Wednesday night’s matchup with the New York Knicks. However, it was the defense that propelled them this time in a 92-87 victory.
The Bulls played from behind for almost the entire game, as they didn’t lead until a dunk by rookie Lauri Markkanen with under a minute to go in the game.
Robin Lopez got many of the early touches, with the Bulls seemingly intent on attacking defensive liability Enes Kanter early on. The 17 point first quarter can be attributed to both that and some poor point guard play from Kris Dunn.
