The Bulls’ late-season evaluation process better give some answers

WASHINGTON – Jim Boylen isn’t quite sure if 20-plus games at the end of this season will be enough to get a true evaluation of what the Bulls core has going into the 2020-21 campaign.

Then again, the Bulls coach also knows he doesn’t have much of a choice.

Even if Lauri Markkanen (right pelvis), Otto Porter Jr. (left foot) and Wendell Carter Jr. (right ankle) can make it back from injury by the beginning of March with no setbacks, time is a luxury this organization doesn’t have.

“Yeah, we have to just take it as it comes,’’ Boylen said on Tuesday, when asked if the evaluation process will be enough to answer all the questions the franchise has in Year 3 of this rebuild.
