Sports Talk Live Podcast: Breaking down a huge day in Chicago Bulls history

It’s officially official. Arturas Karnisovas is the Bulls’ new executive vice president of basketball operations, replacing John Paxson, who had held that station for 17 years.

In a later statement, the Bulls also announced that general manager Gar Forman will be relieved of his duties. As previously reported by our K.C. Johnson, Paxson will be stepping into a senior advisory role without any day-to-day involvement with the team. In announcing Karnisovas’ hiring, the Bulls made sure to say: “In this role, Karnisovas will be responsible for all decisions made in Chicago’s basketball operations department.”

All of which is to say, the winds of change are howling.
