ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne and Michael Wright are reporting that the San Antonio Spurs are worried that Kawhi Leonard’s group wants him traded to a large market team this summer. Leonard is 26 years old and could receive a five year, $219 million extension this offseason.
Leonard played in just nine games this past season due to a right quadriceps injury. On January 22nd, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Michael Wright reported that Leonard had been “distant” and “disconnected” from San Antonio.
Kawhi Leonard has been in the league since 2011, and has played only for the Spurs.
