The Chicago Bulls' starting power forward spot is open for competition during the preseason and Bobby Portis is working hard to impress head coach Fred Hoiberg.
"When we went small last year, there were some times he did play center. So you can put him and Lauri Markkanen out there together," Hoiberg told the Chicago Tribune. "We're trying to teach our bigs both frontline positions. You hear about all the different lineups teams are talking about. Cleveland has Kevin Love some at center."
With Robin Lopez to start at center, the power forward competition will include Portis, Markkanen and Nikola Mirotic.
