Wendell Carter Jr. has been the lone member of the Bulls' core to escape the injury bug this season.
That may not be the case any longer.
The Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson tweeted Wednesday that Carter suffered a thumb injury and that there's concern that it could be "significant."
Beyond obvious reason of keeping asset until all trade possibilities exhausted, here’s another reason why Robin Lopez buyout makes no sense now: Threat of injury. Wendell Carter Jr. is having thumb looked at today. Severity is unknown until testing. May be nothing. But still.
