Chris Fleming, Jim Boylen’s lead assistant coach, is on the list of potential interviews for the Knicks head coaching job, as first reported by SNY’s Ian Begley.
Fleming, hired by Boylen last summer, has extensive head coaching experience in Germany, including for that country’s national team. He also has been an NBA assistant with the Nets and Nuggets; he worked with new Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas at the latter stop.
There is widespread speculation throughout the NBA that former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is the front-runner to land the Knicks’ job.
