Taken by Vancouver in the third round of the 2016 draft, Will Lockwood has just begun his sophomore campaign at the University of Michigan. It's a season that holds great promise.
It comes on the heels of a freshman year in which he was one point off the team scoring lead, and wowed onlookers with his robust physical play. As a result, the speedy right winger has now become one of the Canucks' more intriguing prospects. Dubbed as a potential Jannik Hansen light, Lockwood projects to be a future third-line energy type in the NHL.
Yet to hear his head coach explain it, the ceiling might be even higher.
