The Bulls have transparently indicated that they’re looking for a veteran point guard this offseason.
Clipper and impending free agent Patrick Beverley has been a frequently mentioned target. At 30 years old and known more for his defensive prowess and toughness than his ability to change the game offensively, he’s not the long-term fix. But adding him to the roster gives the team a well-respected veteran leader and a marketable hometown player that many Bulls fans already like. He could also help mentor a draftee at the position, or the still young-ish Kris Dunn.
