One Rose may have left the building, but Dwyane Wade brought one back to the Advocate Center on Friday afternoon.
With a black rose pinned to his lapel, Wade was introduced to the Chicago media with his family and “Team Wade” in tow. Wade’s introduction was delayed for two weeks thanks in part to his recent tour in China to promote his line of Li-Ning shoes.
After spending 13 years in Miami, Wade said choosing to sign with Chicago wasn’t an easy decision. With the full support of his family, Wade said he decided to be “selfish” and leave the Heat on his own terms, and not because of any conflict with Miami president Pat Riley or owner Micky Arison.
