The Bulls shocked the world by actually trading Jimmy Butler, sending their All-Star forward and the No. 16 pick in a package for Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' seventh overall pick, which they used to select Arizona big man Lauri Markkanen.
Instant reactions varied between whether the Bulls lost the trade or whether they were slaughtered in it.
The Bulls have made a lot of questionable moves in the past few years, but in my mind, this trade tops them all. It's unjustifiably bad, and it's impossible to understand why the Bulls held out for so long on a Butler trade if this is what they were going to settle for.
