The Indiana Pacers have decided to add more depth to the point guard position and are nearing an agreement on a one-year contract with Chicago Bulls free agent Aaron Brooks, reports Shams Charania of The Vertical.
If the deal is signed, Brooks will enter training camp in a competition with Rodney Stuckey and Joe Young for the backup point guard minutes behind presumed starter Jeff Teague, who was recently acquired via trade from the Atlanta Hawks.
Brooks, 31, has spent the last two seasons with the Bulls and averaged 7.
