A man accused of brutally stabbing a 60-year-old woman to death last month at her South Chicago apartment allegedly said he flew into a rage because she had “disrespected him as a man,” according to Cook County prosecutors.
Ivan Hodges, 37, told detectives that Renee Walker demanded money and pulled out a knife on him after they spent time drinking and listening to music at her apartment sometime between April 4 and April 6, prosecutors said.
He allegedly said he took the knife away from Walker and “did what he had to do and cut her up,” prosecutors said.
