Vincent Lecavalier’s phone blew up this week when the Tampa Bay Lightning announced they would be retiring his No. 4 in a Feb. 10 ceremony this season.
Among the many messages, of course, were some from his old pals Martin St. Louis and Brad Richards.
The Three Amigos, as they were called during Tampa Bay’s ascent to a Stanley Cup win in 2004, well, they’ve remained good pals despite their paths going different ways years ago.
“For sure, what we accomplished together, that will keep us connected for life,’’ St. Louis told The Athletic.
