Lauri Markkanen is re-joining the Bulls lineup Saturday night against the Rockets, though his return to action comes earlier than expected.
Markkanen returned to full practice Tuesday after missing the Bulls' first 23 games due to a sprain right elbow. Since returning, the 21-year-old "hasn't had any soreness" in his elbow, according to Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg.
“The plan initially when he came back to practice was possibly give him a few more days before we had him out there," Hoiberg said. "But he’s had two good practices and he hasn’t had any soreness so felt like tonight was the night.
