The last pick of the 2011 NBA Draft’s first round out of Marquette entered the NBA as a project, but as each season went on, his potential was seen by more and more people. The big question for Butler was, could he put it together for a full season and make “the leap“? That question was answered during the 2014-15 season.

In 65 games (due to thumb/shoulder injuries), Butler had his best season to date, averaging 20 points per contest, and became the first Chicago Bulls player in the organization’s history to win the NBA’s Most Improved Player award.
