Both Jimmy Butler and DeMar Derozan played in their first Olympics basketball game Saturday night, but it was their first Olympics rock, paper, scissors game that captivated viewers.

During the third quarter of USA Basketball's 119-62 rout of China, Butler and DeRozan made their rock, paper, scissors debut to choose which player would shoot a technical free throw.

The results of this game within the game were unclear.

Both players threw scissors, but it was DeRozan who walked to the stripe to take the free throw.

Tie must go to the Raptor.

This epic competition begs the question: Is it finally time to consider rock, paper, scissors for a spot in the 2020 Olympics?
