How Jonathan Toews rediscovered his confidence after disappointing seasons

Jonathan Toews now recognizes he lost something within himself the last few seasons.

What partially made him one of the world’s greatest hockey players was his belief he was one. Whenever he stepped onto the ice, he believed he could do anything and everything.

Players often have different names for that. Toews calls it confidence and swagger. Whatever you want to call it, Toews felt he no longer possessed it as he once did.

So, what caused an established NHL star to no longer to feel like an NHL star? Like many before him, Toews’ confidence was rattled by lack of production.
