DETROIT – It was a solid stretch by Denzel Valentine.
Not only in his own estimation, but the numbers backed it up for the former first-round pick.
He finally escaped the Jim Boylen doghouse in early December, got back into the rotation, and actually factored in the box score, putting up double-digits in six of seven games over a 10-day period. More importantly, in the 12 games that Valentine played 10 minutes or more last month, the Bulls won six of them.
And just like that? Gone.
So heck yeah, he’s not happy about it.
