Diversity in hiring has become a big issue in the NBA in recent months, as a light has been shed on the number of African-Americans being phased out of coaching positions and front-office jobs.
Billy King, former general manager with both the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets, joined CSNChicago.com’s Vincent Goodwill and the San Antonio Express News’ Jabari Young on “The Point Game Podcast” to discuss the downward trend and expressed his feelings on a potential “Rooney Rule” for the NBA.
“What is troubling is some of the younger assistant GM’s don’t get interviewed,” King said.
