Per ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, former Chicago Bulls point guard Cameron Payne will continue his pursuit of an NBA career this summer with the Dallas Mavericks on their summer league team.
Despite being a former lottery pick, Cam Payne has struggled mightily to find his footing in the NBA. In 67 games for the Bulls, he averaged 6.7 points per game on an inefficient 39.7% shooting from the field and 33.7% shooting from 3-point range to go along with 3.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game. Obviously, those numbers aren’t good, but Payne showed flashes of competency at times.
