The Chicago Bulls made a pretty anticipated move earlier this month to release former LSU Tigers shooting guard Antonio Blakeney in the final year of his contract worth around $1.6 million. Just ahead of the start of the 2019-20 regular season, Blakeney will have the opportunity to sign with all but three teams around the NBA.
The report that the Bulls waived Blakeney came over the weekend and was finalized with him getting back around $100K of the contract he was set to earn. He’ll hit the open market at 22-years-old. But he will be 23-years-old at the outset of the 2019-20 regular season.
