The Bulls went out with a whimper on Friday night, and the 105-83 blowout loss to Boston was a fitting and predictably boring ending for a team that might not have even gotten their arena half-full for an elimination game.
Everyone knew that this odd collection of non-shooters was never going to work. Even the Bulls will tell you that now, although they vehemently denied it at the start of the season.
“We’ve got multiple playmakers now, multiple guys who can get in the paint,” Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg told reporters in July. “We do have floor spacing.
