It was a stat line that reminded everyone of what Lauri Markkanen could be once again.
Actually, should have always been.
And that’s the frustration.
The 7-footer came off the bench on Thursday, and scored 20 points in 25 minutes, grabbed seven rebounds, handed out two assists, and even had a steal and a block on his way to finishing a team-high plus-15 in the plus/minus category.
Markkanen was performing so well at the forward spot that it cut into the playing time of starter Patrick Williams in the must-win game against Toronto, limiting the rookie to just 18 minutes.
