It’s been 13 months and change since the Bulls fired Fred Hoiberg and replaced him with Jim Boylen. And though he initially took the breakup hard, Hoiberg didn’t mind being back in Chicago this weekend for Nebraska’s game against Northwestern.
He spent Friday night having dinner with his daughter. Meanwhile, the Bulls lost their sixth-straight game for their longest losing streak this season.
In reality, Hoiberg’s fresh start with Nebraska could be one of the best things that’s happened to him.
He’s in total control of the Huskers’ rebuild. He’s the one making the personnel decisions and has the final say in his roster.
