SACRAMENTO — As superstar athletes age, you invariably start hearing them lean on a few tropes and cliches. They’re always in the best shape of their lives and haven’t felt this good in 10 years, even when they’re reaching the tail end of their careers.
Dwyane Wade has always been more honest about his body. As he put it during his first training camp with the Bulls, “Some days I feel great, other days I feel 34.”
Wade turned 35 a few weeks ago, and he’s still being cautious with his body. He can still match his superstar production of years past — in Monday’s 112-107 win over the Sacramento Kings, he scored 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting.
