The Bulls entered their second-round Las Vegas Summer League meeting with the Toronto Raptors as the 17th seed in the league’s concluding tournament. Toronto had been running through the competition in their three prior games, winning by an average of 15 points per contest.

Thursday night appeared to be another romp for the top-seeded Raptors, then all of sudden, Doug McDermott happened. The fifth-leading scorer in NCAA history appeared, and Toronto had no answer.
McDermott scored 22 of his game-high 28 points in the second half, and the Bulls recovered from a 15-point first-quarter deficit to upset Toronto, 84-80.
