Chicago Bulls waive Kay Felder, open up roster spot

The Chicago Bulls announced today that they have waived second year, third-string point guard Kay Felder.

The 5-foot-9-inch Felder who the Bulls claimed off waivers in mid-October averaged 3.9 points per game on 30.3 percent from the field in 14 games in Chicago, initially receiving significant minutes. After Kris Dunn returned from his finger injury, head coach Fred Hoiberg mostly relegated Felder to garbage-time minutes or did not play him at all.

Felder becomes an unrestricted free agent on Thursday if he isn’t claimed off of waivers by another team.
