Chicago Bulls waive four players a day after their last preseason game

The Chicago Bulls preseason is officially over, which means we are one step closer to the regular season. With their first regular season game days away, the Bulls have to get their roster down to 15 players.

On Saturday, the Bulls announced that they have cut Antonius Cleveland, Derrick Walton Jr., Kaiser Gates, and JaKarr Sampson. If all four players clear waivers, then they will become unrestricted free agents.

Sampson, Gates, and Walton signed training camp deals with the Bulls. Cleveland was claimed off waivers by the Bulls in July.

All four players didn’t really get the chance to play in the Bulls five preseason games, and if they did then it was in the last couple of minutes of the game.
