Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson underwent arthroscopic left ankle surgery this week and is expected to miss about four months if his rehabilitation goes well.
Last season, Gibson played in 62 games but has had ankle problems for the past couple of seasons. Of the 20 games that he did miss last season, 17 were because of his left ankle issues. Gibson’s agent said the surgery went very well and after the rehab is over, it should feel like he has a new ankle.
Gibson has been a very reliable player for the Bulls who has been known to play through pain.
