Several elements contributed to the Chicago Bulls‘ first win in what seems like ages. However, no two words better sum up what drove this squad to victory against the defensively staunch Oklahoma City Thunder than this pair: Lauri Markkannen.
The Fabulous Finn appears to have already shaken off most of the rust accumulated during his two-month absence due to injury, as he followed up his 21-point, 10-rebound outing in Indianapolis on Tuesday by pouring in 24 points and snatching 7 rebounds against OKC.
But it was not Markkanen’s box score, nor his efficient bombing (4-of-8 from deep), nor even his whirling drive and layup to win the game that most impressed on Friday night.
