Late on Wednesday night, it was reported by 2 Ways10 Days co-founder Chris Reichert that the Chicago Bulls had signed former Maryland center Diamond Stone to a partially-guaranteed two-year contract with a guarantee of $50,000.
Stone, who only played 24 total minutes in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers last season while spending much of his time in the G-League, did show some ability to be a solid big man during his stints with the Santa Cruz Warriors and Salt Lake City Stars last year.
In 13 games with those two G-League teams — due to the fact that the Clippers didn’t have their own G-League affiliate at the time — Stone averaged 16.
